The history of Swiss stone pine in Vorarlberg

Wellness0

Mhh, how it smells. As soon as you step into our Swiss stone pine sauna, the unmistakable smell of the wood envelops you. The distinctive scent is as inseparable from the mountains as the wood that gives it off. Because the Swiss stone pine is the true queen of the Alps.

Native to the mountains

The characteristic trees with their narrow crown of needles can be found at high altitudes throughout the Alps. Swiss stone pines are evergreen, which means that, like the fir tree, they do not shed their needles even in winter. The trunk of the tree can reach up to 1.70 meters in diameter and can therefore be perfectly processed. Bedrooms, farmhouse kitchens and furniture made from Swiss stone pine are genuine regional natural products and are in no way inferior to imported precious woods.

Water, warmth and stone pine

The beneficial properties of Swiss stone pine wood are particularly evident in combination with water and warmth. The natural oils contained in our Swiss stone pine sauna ensure a holistic relaxation effect. The hustle and bustle of everyday life falls away and stressed bodies regenerate through pure relaxation in the pleasantly warm sauna area. The highlight is the Swiss stone pine infusion: a true feel-good experience every 30 minutes. A visit to the Swiss stone pine sauna is particularly worthwhile in the cold season: The essential oils have a positive effect on the immune system and thus strengthen our defenses.
