Glistening blankets of snow in the winter sun, snow-covered branches and frozen streams characterize the Montafon winter wonderland. In this dreamlike white setting in the middle of the Montafon mountains, it is easy to forget time and lose yourself in the moment. But the Montafon has much more to offer in winter than just a breathtaking landscape. With the opening of the winter season, the Montafon heart begins to beat wildly and attracts numerous visitors from all over the world with traditional events and action-packed World Cup days.

Bartholomäberg Advent market 01.12.2019

On the first Sunday in Advent, a wonderful and contemplative Advent market takes place from 10:00 - 17:00 in Bartholomäberg, right on our doorstep. This will be ceremoniously opened with a festive church service. The pre-Christmas atmosphere is rounded off by a visit from St. Nicholas, who distributes the typical Vorarlberg "Klosasäckle", filled with goodies, to the children. Of course, the Krampus must not be missing, who with their creepy larvae make sure that the children are also good and well-behaved next year - or at least in the coming weeks.

Krampus drive in Schruns-Tschagguns 30.11.2019

On Saturday, when night slowly falls and darkness settles over Vorarlberg, when the bells begin to ring softly in the distance, children's eyes get bigger and bigger and young and old alike get nervous, the time has come: the Krampuses are coming. If you have never been to a Krampus run before, you should definitely not miss this unique atmosphere and this incomparable traditional event. And of course, there is also plenty of food and hot drinks so that you can enjoy this spectacle to the full.

FIS Ski Cross Snowboard World Cup 11 - 14.12.2019

At the FIS Ski Cross and Snowboard World Cup, World Cup action meets open-air concerts and an exuberant atmosphere. During this period, the Montafon is transformed into a stage for artists and legends of the ski cross and snowboard scene. As the crowning glory of the exciting competition days, international bands such as Silbermond will once again heat up the atmosphere in the Montafon and ensure unforgettable competition days in the Montafon.

Montafon winter magic 23.12.2019 - 05.01.2020

If you prefer things to be a little quieter and more contemplative, don't miss the Montafon Winter Magic. From 23 December to 1 January, you can immerse yourself in a world of festive anticipation at atmospheric concerts and soak up the unique atmosphere. The spectrum ranges from brass ensembles and jazz to Russian Christmas with the "Court Singers of the Tsar".

Women's mountain fun 17 - 19.01.2020

This event is aimed at all women with a passion for ski touring and snowshoeing. All participants start at the Schafbergbahn valley station and make their way across the piste to the finish at the Schafberg Hüsli at 2,130m. After the award ceremony, the successful ascent is celebrated together at the subsequent hut party.
