Beautiful Montafon – the three towers

The three towers – landmarks of the Montafon region

Active, Tips, Current news

They are an integral part of the Montafon landscape. They tower majestically above the other peaks of the Rätikon. A hiking destination that is definitely worth a visit.

A natural monument

The three towers consist of the small Drusenturm (2,754 m), the middle Drusenturm (2,782 m), and the large Drusenturm (2,830 m). They are part of the Drusenfluh massif, which is part of the Rätikon mountains. The towers also mark the exact border between Austria and Switzerland.

The striking rock formation can be seen from many vantage points throughout the Montafon. Of course, you can also see it when you relax in our Skypool Montafon. So it's no wonder that many of our guests want to marvel at this landmark up close.

Put on your hiking boots and off you go!

The small Drusenturm tower is only accessible to experienced climbers, and the tour to the larger towers is also challenging. Therefore, climbing to the summit is only recommended for experienced mountaineers. We therefore suggest that our guests simply hike to the foot of the landmark. The picturesque trail is suitable for all hiking enthusiasts – and a culinary reward awaits at the end.
From the Golmerbahn in Latschau, the hike takes about 2.5 hours through the idyllic Gauertal valley. Here, as on Bartholomäberg, you can explore the romantic mountain pasture landscape of the Montafon. On the sunny route, you will also experience the colorful, varied flora and always have your destination, the three towers, in view. The ascent of the well-marked trail will fly by as you take in the natural scenery.
At the foot of the Drusenfluh, the Lindauer Hut awaits you at an altitude of 1,744 meters. Here you can reward your hunger with a glass of wine for your hiking achievements. The team at the Lindauer Hut strives to use as many regional ingredients as possible in their cuisine.

Also a good idea by bike

The route through the Gauertal valley is also perfect for mountain biking. The tour is one of Klaudia's favorite routes. With our "Mountain Bike Enjoyment" package, you can even look forward to a "massage for tired athletes' legs" after your bike ride.
