The magical in-between time: experiences in the Fernblick Montafon

Current news, Tips, Our Hotel

The days between Christmas and New Year, often referred to as "between the years", offer a unique opportunity to calm down and recharge your batteries for the new year. While many of us are caught up in the Christmas hustle and bustle with family visits and festive preparations, we often forget that this time also offers a chance to relax and pause for a moment. Our tips for the (hopefully) quietest time of the year:

1. Enjoying nature

One of the best ways to relax after the hectic holidays is to spend time in nature. A walk in the woods, a hike in the mountains or simply a quiet afternoon in a nearby park can work wonders. The fresh air and stillness of nature help to calm the mind and relieve stress.

2. Self-care

Christmas is a time when you think a lot about others. But you shouldn't forget about yourself either. A relaxing bath, a massage or simply a quiet evening with a cup of tea can do wonders for your well-being. Meditation and yoga are also proven methods for relaxation and stress reduction. They help to focus and calm the mind. There are also many simple exercises for beginners that can be practiced at home.

3. Digital detox

In our constantly connected world, it can be a blessing to consciously take a break from digital media. A digital detox, i.e. a conscious break from smartphones, computers and television, can help us to live more in the moment and be more aware of our immediate surroundings.

4. Time with loved ones

During the holidays, we often spend time with family and relatives, but it is also important to consciously make time for close friends or your partner. Shared activities such as a games evening, a meal together or simply a long chat can be very fulfilling.

5. Appreciation and gratitude

The time around Christmas and New Year is also an ideal opportunity to say "thank you". It is a time when we can pause and appreciate the people in our lives who have enriched our year. A simple thank you, whether through a message, a letter or a small gift, can mean a lot and strengthen relationships with friends, acquaintances and family. It is a gesture that expresses warmth and appreciation and is often underestimated.

With this in mind, we would also like to take this special time to thank you, all our guests, from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful year 2023. It has been a year full of unforgettable moments, shared joys and unique encounters. We are deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty of our guests and look forward to welcoming you again next year. Your smiles, your stories and your satisfaction are the greatest reward for our work and motivation to continue creating exceptional experiences. Thank you for being part of our Fernblick family. We wish you a relaxing interim period and a fantastic start to the new year!
