Fabulous evenings in Silbertal

One of the summer highlights in Montafon is back again this year. The Montafon Legend Festival in Silbertal starts on July 17, 2021.

Ancient magic in Montafon

He is a mysterious character – "Peppino the Alpine Magician." The title character of the current legend play excites the inhabitants of Montafon with his magical powers and sends a shepherd on an exciting and momentous journey. The play was written and directed by Ewald Netzer from Montafon, who founded the Silbertal Legend Summer 21 years ago together with his brother Peter Netzer. The legend festival began with evening storytelling sessions, during which the hiking trail at the Teufelsbach waterfall was bathed in a mystical atmosphere. When interest in this improvised location became too great, the impressive open-air stage was created, where performances are still held today.

At 20,000 m2, the stage of the Sagenfestival is one of the largest open-air stages in Europe. The 15 original buildings, from the church to the hay barn to a romantic mill, are also incorporated into the story. Rural life from times gone by is thus woven into a magical story, and you can experience it all up close. Over 20 actors and actresses bring these impressive backdrops to life.

A safe evening of theater under the stars

A valid 3G certificate is required for admission to the Sagenfestival and will be checked at the entrance. Discounted advance tickets can be purchased online at Kartenvorverkauf up to two days before the respective performance.
