What fine wines are actually slumbering in our wine cellars? We have already presented our own Fernblick wine to you in detail, but there are many more treasures and rarities hiding in here. Lukas Fürst knows these wines like no other, so he has put together some recommendations for you:

A glass in honor ..

Our first wine recommendation is the Riesling Ried Kremser Wachtberg from the Türk winery. This wine is known for its aromatic depth of profile with hints of pink grapefruit, pineapple and apricot, as well as peppermint notes. Lukas describes the taste as follows: "It has a finely balanced fruitiness with a slight piquancy that gives it a pleasant freshness. It is a classic wine with a subtle salty note." Riesling goes perfectly with beef carpaccio with Parmesan shavings, smoked trout or char, as well as light vegetable dishes. Traditional meat dishes with Riesling sauces are also wonderfully accompanied by this wine.

The Asia Cuvee from Weingut Mayer am Pfarrplatz is an exceptional taste experience. A cuvee is a blend of different grape varieties: this one consists of 30% Grüner Veltliner, 30% Pinot Blanc, 30% Riesling and 10% Traminer. It has a seductive fruit exoticism with an elegant muscat and rose scent. It is balanced and lively on the palate, with a delicate residual sweetness in the finish, making this wine an excellent accompaniment to spicy Asian cuisine.

... nobody can refuse!

The third wine in our list is the Zweigelt Dornenvogel from the Glatzer winery. "It has a very dark ruby color and an enormously sweet fruit with hints of dark berries and dried fruit. On the palate, it is delicate with cassis and a well-integrated wood structure as well as a strong finish," says Lukas enthusiastically. The Zweigelt goes best with steaks, roast beef, duck or goose.

The fourth recommendation is the Wolfsblut Grande Reserve from Weingut Wolf. The blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot has fine wood and fruit aromas with a noble, spicy tannin and fruit notes of blackberry, blueberry and plum. It has a very long, aromatic finish with an unforgettable character. This wine is ideal for dishes with beef, lamb, veal, pork, as well as steak and game dishes.

Each wine has its own merits and goes perfectly with certain dishes. Our service team is highly trained and can always recommend the right wine to accompany your gourmet meal.
