4 tips to make Christmas even more wonderful

Current news, Tips

Christmas at Fernblick is usually a very special celebration that we enjoy together with you, our guests. The aroma of sweet cinnamon stars fresh from the oven greets you as soon as you check in, and we show you the snow-covered Montafon on romantic lantern walks. Unfortunately, none of this is possible this year, so we have put together a few suggestions on how you can enjoy the holidays at home to the fullest:

1. Christmas movies for the heart

It's a phenomenon we're all familiar with. When that one movie is on TV, it's Christmas! For some, the festive season begins when Cinderella finds her prince with the help of her three hazelnuts. For others, it's not Christmas until "Christmas is all around us" rings out in "Love Actually." For many, Christmas is inextricably linked to the movies from their childhood. No matter which Christmas movie gets you in the festive spirit, enjoy it even more than usual this year. Make yourself comfortable on your couch and consciously take the time to watch it. A few Christmas cookies will make even the best movie even sweeter.

2. The scent of Christmas

Unfortunately, we were unable to visit the Advent markets this year. But you don't have to miss out on the culinary delights of Christmas. With a packet of mulled wine spices and a good red wine, you can easily make your own fragrant mulled wine, which will bring back memories of your last visit to the Christmas market. For the non-alcoholic version, simply use fruit tea. Homemade mulled wine tastes especially good after a walk in the cold winter air.

3. That certain something

We know that sometimes it's just a hassle to wrap gifts. Do it anyway, because studies have shown that recipients are happier with lovingly wrapped gifts. Just seeing pretty wrapping paper increases our levels of happiness hormones and makes us feel more positive. And the sparkling eyes of your family as they unwrap your carefully wrapped gifts are incomparable anyway.

4. Christmas music from the Montafon

Festive meals, gift-giving, and children's eyes shining with joy – these things are made even more beautiful with the right musical accompaniment. That's why Christmas carols are an essential part of the holiday season for many of us. In addition to the classics "Silent Night," "Come, Little Children," and "Jingle Bells," we would like to recommend a very special song to you this year. The "Montafon Christmas Carol" will make you feel a little bit closer to us here at Fernblick.
So enjoy the holidays and slow down with our tips. We are already looking forward to celebrating with you again next year.
